Crochet Candy Corn Pattern (Easy Amigurumi Halloween Treat)

This little candy corn shape is one of the fastest and most colorful Halloween projects — a fun way to use up small amounts of yellow, orange, and white yarn.

Materials

• Small amounts of yellow, orange, and white worsted weight yarn (about 10g each)
• 4.0mm crochet hook
• Fiberfill stuffing
• Yarn needle

Body

Worked bottom-up in a continuous spiral, starting with yellow at the base.

1. MR, 6 sc in ring (6)
2. inc around (12)
3. (1 sc, inc) around (18) 4–7. sc around, no increase (18) — 4 rounds in yellow

Switch to orange yarn:

8–11. sc around (18) — 4 rounds in orange

Begin decreasing to shape the tapering tip:

12. (1 sc, dec) around (12)

Switch to white yarn:

13. sc around (12) — 1 round in white

Continue stuffing as the shape narrows.

Fasten off, leaving a tail. Weave through remaining stitches and cinch closed at the white tip.

Finishing

Weave in all ends. Group 3-5 together in a small bowl or basket for a classic Halloween candy display, or add a loop to the base for hanging as a garland piece.

Tip: keep your color-change rounds crisp by changing colors on the last yarn-over of the final stitch in the previous color — it creates a much cleaner stripe transition.
