Crochet Witch Broom Ornament Pattern (Easy Halloween Decor)

This mini broom is a fun accent piece — pair it with the witch hat pattern for a matching wreath set, or use it as a standalone hanging ornament.

Materials

• Brown yarn for the handle (about 10g)
• Tan or golden-brown yarn for the bristles (about 15g)
• 4.0mm crochet hook
• A thin dowel, chopstick, or stiff wire (optional, for a rigid handle)
• Yarn needle
• Small piece of twine for wrapping

Handle

With brown yarn, chain 20-24 (depending on your desired broom length).

Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook and across.

Row 2: ch 1, sc across, working through both loops for a firmer tube-like cord.

Fasten off, leaving a tail. If you'd like a rigid, upright broom, crochet this as a tube (join in the round instead of working flat) and slide a thin dowel or stiff wire inside before closing the end.

Bristles
